The Promenade, Peacehaven, celebrated their 1st Anniversary on 14th December and kindly held a raffle in aid of our charity and Breast Cancer Research, we are very grateful for their kind donation of £189.63

We now have a new member of Team Spence "Anatomical Man" This mystery person run the Brighton Brooks 10km race on the 21st November in an impressive time of 41.38. "who is the face behind the mask - no one knows" Anatomical Man can be followed on Facebook and Twitter.
The Shining Star Talent Show took place on the 30th October and what an amazing success it was, we raised £2271, an amazing result. The contestants that took part were all excellent and we didn't envy the celebrity judges, Julie Cowell, Paul Nicholas and Garry Wilson who had to make the difficult decision to find the overall winner. In the end the title went to Jez Minfaq who gave a wonderful performance, as Michael Jackson.

We held a summer evening of dining in St Margaret's Church Cottage and what a successful night it was, we managed to raise over £1100 and everyone that came, gave us so much positive feedback - I have to say the pig racing just added to the evening of fun. A special thank you must go to Trevor for being able to cater for 70 people in a very cramped space. We would also like to thank everyone who helped us out on the night - "Team Spence" really worked as an A class team - you were all amazing.
"Sally cycles for Remember Spencer "- After regaining her fitness, following treatment for breast cancer, Sally completed a 50 mile bike ride to Littlehampton and back. An amazing achievement and our heartfelt thanks go to Sally for supporting our cause. Sally raised an amazing £1500.
Well done to Mary Rowe for completing a sponsored slim and losing an amazing 21lbs, fantastic result and we are all so proud.

Monkey Travels -Monkey has just returned from Lemnos, Greece where he had a brilliant, albeit exhausting time, he tried water skiing, Kayaking, Dinghy Sailing and many more activities, all caught on camera. Hes at home for a rest now - not sure where he will be travelling to next! (We have now added a slideshow on the site, so everyone can have a look at his photos)
We have now received our Charity Registration No: 1136422. Amazing news and thanks to everyone who works so tirelessly for our Charity.
Monkey Travels - Monkey has now travelled to Turkey, the latest picture is of him climbing the high ropes (what a brave monkey he was!)- on holiday with the Durnfords and a very special thank you to Emma for looking after him so well

Our first Team Spence fundraisng night was held on the 2nd May (a race night). We excelled all our expectations and managed to raise in excess of £1300, a huge thank you goes to Brett & Kelly who had arranged this on our behalf. A great time was had by all and we have received such wonderful feedback - thanks to all those who attended and raised such a huge amount by their kind generosity
Childrens talent show - 30th October 2010 at Peacehaven Meridian Centre, in conjuction with Paul Nicholas School of Acting. So far guest judges include Julie Cowell and Paul Nicholas!! Watch this space for more updates!!!
Monkey Travels -Monkey has now gone from Cardiff to Limerick (see picture). Next holiday - Turkey, cant wait to see photos, so watch this space!!!

A beautiful Sunny day for the inaugral Brighton Marathon and we had 4 Team Spence Members taking part, Anna managed a personal best of 5 hours 5. John completed it in 3 hours 27, Paul in 4 hours 10 and Amanda with another PB of 6 hours 41. A brilliant day was had by all and a huge thank you once again to all our wonderful supporters that cheered us all the way round. We hope to have many more runners in the Brighton 2011 Marathon - so watch this space!!!
We have now started a new feature "Monkey Travels". Spencers monkey is now on a mission to travel the world and a picture will be taken everywhere he goes, together with any important events. The first picture is taken at the Millenium Stadium Cardiff, watching Wales play rugby in the six nations. (This has been a childhood ambition of Paul's) but Monkey had a fabulous time too! Watch this space to see where he pops up next!!!

Two more members have joined "Team Spence", Brett and Kelly Powell. They have kindly organised a race night at the Seaford Rugby Club on 2nd May. It will be a brilliant fun night and there will also be a charity auction and raffle with lots of fabulous prizes, so please support this fantastic night!

Craig the owner of Coastal Cruiserz celebrated the clubs anniversary by arranging a fund raising event for us in Eastbourne. Thanks to Craig and all those involved for raising much needed funds for us. Please welcome our newest "Team Spence" members, Craig & Anna and also all those invoved with Coastal Cruiserz.

Well that's the runs over for this year, next one will be Sussex Beacon Half Marathon in February, followed by the first ever Brighton Marathon in April.
We also hope to have a few social fundraising events next year, so please get in touch if you can help or have any ideas.

Seaford Triathlon 15th August, this was Paul's first triathlon and he completed it in 50 minutes Well done Paul! And on top of this he competed in the half marathon with Anna the very next day - amazing!!
John Durnford completed the half marathon on the 16th August in a time of 1 hour 25 and Anna Dilley completed the same race in 2 hours 10, unbelievable times.
Lisa Durnford, Deirdre Durnford and Carol Parker completed the 5km and once again all did amazingly well. Deirdre, even won her age category, so got a prize!
And finally, Amanda completed the 10km.
A really well done goes to all and also to our loyal supporters who were cheering us on, every step of the way!!

Anna & Amanda completed the Seaford half marathon in 3 hours 3 minutes and Michelle Bunce completed the same course in 3 hours 13 minutes. Well done to all.

Lisa Durnford, Deirdre Durnford and Carol Parker have all now signed up for the 5km in Seaford on the 16th August. Unfortunately Amanda has picked up a deep tissue tear, so now can not compete in the half marathon at Seaford, but like a Knight in shining Armour, Paul is now going to take her place, but is also going to compete in the triathlon the day before in Seaford. So we wish him all the best and thank him for being such a star (or in most peoples words - MAD!!)
An article has been published about our site in The Peacehaven Directory and the Co-Editor Keith Briffett has been be raising money for us by competing in the Sussex Triathlon. For his first triathlon his results were amazing and we wish him well in his next events.
Mark Taylor and Pete Stevens have now joined us for the Dublin Marathon in October. Just remember Team Spence welcomes all.

Lisa and John have also designed a 6ft banner for all our supporters to cheer us on and we have now received our first batch of "Team Spence T-shirts".
Paul Roberts has kindly donated 10 cool max running vests with the Team Spence logo on for our runners.
Anna & Amanda completed the 10km in Bognor in 66.56 minutes and Paul completed the course in 46.51 minutes.
